- Day 1
Marrakech – High atlas mountains – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora Desert
We will begin our Private two-day tour at 8 a.m. and head to the High Atlas. After passing through Tizi n’tichka Pass, we will arrive at the fortified city of ait Ben Haddou, considered the most spectacular and well preserved Kasbahs in the country, and declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nearby are the film studios of Ouarzazate, where such epic films such as Gladiator, Babel, and Cleopatra were filmed.
After lunch we will continue our journey south, crossing the Draa Valley until we arrive at Zagora. Once there, we’ll leave the Minibus and ride on camel to roam freely through the desert dunes and enjoy a spectacular sunset. We will dine and sleep in tents, camped in the middle of the desert.
- Day 2
Zagora Desert – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will mount the camels and return to Zagora. Once there, we will recover the minibus begin the journey back to Marrakech. On the way, we will make several stops in area villages to taste the typical exquisite fare of the region.
